Question:
what happens to land when water flows over it?
Hypothesis:
i think the land under the water will create a river .
Meterials: fine sand, rough sand, a ruler, plastic cup with a small hole, clay bucket, wooden wedge and a stream table.
Prrocedure :
- we set up the computer
- we put the clay, fine sand and rough sand into the big tray
- we mixed the caly, rough sand and fine sand
- we put the wooden wedge unnder the strem table
- we placed the stream table at the edge of the table
- we placed the bucket under the table
- we placed the ruler then on it the the plastic cup with a hole at the bottom
- then we poured some of the water into the plastic cup witha hole
- then the river started accuring
Observation
throughout the standard experiment
i realizes that
10 seconds into the experiment the water was starting to go deep
20 seconds and the water almost into the rest of the sand
30 seconds the water is starting to flow
40 seconds the water is making a small river
50 seconds then water is creating a deeper river
1 min water is creatinga biger hole
1 min and 10 seconds the large river si creating a smaller fiver
1 min adn 20 seconds there is a larger river now
1 min and 40 seconds the sand is starting to fall
Counclusion
over all i think this experement was cool and we got the see what happeens to land when water flows over it and my prediction was correct the water did create a river into the land.
